ZAPORIZHYIA

Zaporizhyia is situated in Southern Ukraine and is largely steppe flatland. The climate is warm and the southern side of the region is on the coast of the Sea of Azov. The region has a population of over two million and a history dating back to the Bronze age. The city has a number of museums and theatres as well as a large number of testaments to Ukraine's historic past.
