KING'S ARSENAL

An engineer called Pawel Grodzicki supervised the building of the Royal Arsenal in 1639. In 1816 a boulevard was laid out as the ramparts were levelled and trees planted. The Armoury is also close to Gunpowder Tower, (see number 5 on the map).
