RIVNE

Rivne is located just over 300 km from Kyiv and is situated on the Ustya River. The city records go as far back as the late thirteenth century, where a battle between the Polish and the Lithuanians is catalogued. Rivne underwent a period of uprising for various armies in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. The city has a population of over a quarter of a million.
