MYKOLAYIV

Mykolayiv is situated less than four hundred miles from Kyiv on the banks of the Buzk River. In the city can be found remains of many cultures past such as the Bronze Age and the Graeco-Roman period, as early as the fourth century. During the time of the Soviet Union, Mykolayiv was the largest shipbuilding city in Ukraine. It now has a population of over half a million people and boasts a large number of restaurants, bars and other entertainment.
