CHERNIHIV

Chernihiv is situated in the North of Ukraine and is the administrative, cultural and economic capital of the area. The city is situated on the right bank of the Desna River and boasts many historical and architectural sights. The city was founded by Prince Chorny and his daughter Cherne, remarkably the Prince's grave can still be seen. The history of the city dates back to 907 A.D. and many of the sights are a testament to it's heritage.
